Panel: The future blueprints for cross-border payments: Sending money around the world in seconds

Join us for a panel discussion on cross-border payments and global financial inclusion. Policymakers and financial institutions around the world are working to develop cross-border payments that are cheaper, faster, more transparent, and accessible. The G20 Roadmap for Enhancing Cross-border Payments is setting goals for this initiative to reach new heights by the end of 2027. Along with this worldwide effort, in 2021 the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) launched Project Nexus which aims to standardize connecting fast payment systems globally to enable instant cross-border payments. Project Nexus has a successful proof-of-concept in multiple areas, and recent Phase III completion promises significant advancements toward establishing a global multilateral payments platform.
