Pakistan’s digital payments ecosystem continues to evolve at an impressive pace. As instant payment infrastructure expands and new opportunities emerge for financial institutions, fintechs, and technology providers; the need for local expertise in interoperable payment systems has never been greater.

To help build that expertise, the Mojaloop Foundation, in partnership with the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) Innovation Hub, is launching the Mojaloop Country Accelerator Program for Pakistan. The program is designed to develop a skilled local community of System Implementers, Digital Financial Service Providers (DFSPs) and Hub Operators who can design, deploy and support Mojaloop-based payment infrastructure across Pakistan and strengthen the broader payments ecosystem.

The program is designed for participants across Pakistan’s payments landscape, including:

  • Local System Implementers (SIs)
  • Hub Operators (RAAST, 1Link, PSO/PSPs)
  • RAAST participants
  • Digital Financial Service Providers (DFSPs) and other ecosystem stakeholders

A Practical, Hands-On Learning Experience

The accelerator program combines self-paced virtual learning with intensive in-person training to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

Participants will begin with online coursework delivered through a training portal, complemented by debrief sessions with Mojaloop experts. The program also includes a dedicated five-day in-person workshop taking place November 2 to 6, 2026 at the SBP Head Office in Karachi, Pakistan, where participants will engage in hands-on exercises, collaborative learning, and technical deep dives with the Mojaloop team.

Throughout the accelerator program, participants will build practical skills related to Mojaloop implementation, operations, and ecosystem integration, helping prepare them to support future deployments and innovation initiatives within Pakistan’s financial services sector. The overall program is expected to run for approximately 16 weeks, from November 2026 through February 2027. In the weeks following the in-person workshop, participants will complete online modules at their pace, take assessments, and participate in Community Member Training sessions.
