Warren Carew
CEO, INFITX
Dr. Warren Carew joined ModusBox (later INFITX) in March of 2018. In 2023 he was part of the the ModusBox payment solutions team which bought out the INFITX brand and formed a new entity focused on products delivering equitable and inclusive financial services. With a PhD in Control Theory, he also brings a wealth of experience from a career in the digital financial services arena that began as the leader on Vodafone’s M-PESA platform.
Since his time at M-PESA, he has designed and delivered core mobile money and digital financial solutions for global organizations. This includes roles as CTO at Iceni Mobile, a Naspers MIH Company, and later at Mobile Money Americas Corp where he represented MoMo with the IFC, CGAP, and US Government via the Federal Reserve Faster Payments Task Force. Additionally, Warren has delivered digital transformations for various financial institutions in Africa with the World Bank through CGAP and IFC.
Today, through his leadership as CEO of INFITX, Warren is leading the effort to re-imagine financial services into fairer, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that drive financial inclusion and prosperity.
