Bridging the Gap: Advancing Financial Inclusion with Mojaloop
The Mojaloop Foundation was launched in May 2020 as a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing financial inclusion in underserved communities around the globe. Over the past few years, we’ve been able to significantly advance our mission, driving financial inclusion efforts forward in underserved areas across Africa and Southeast Asia.
Our inaugural report, Bridging the Gap: Advancing Financial Inclusion with Mojaloop, highlights some of the Foundation’s key achievements over the past year, including:
- National Mojaloop deployments in progress in Rwanda, Mexico, and the Philippines and a regional deployment across the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA)
- The launch of the Mojaloop Accelerator Program, a program designed to build the skills and capacity of local system integrator teams
- Active Proofs of Concept (POC) and implementations underway in five countries
- The establishment of the Mojaloop Foundation Product Council as well as new engineering and go-to-market teams
