Digital Public Infrastructure is a set of technology building blocks that drive innovation, inclusion, and competition at scale, operating under open, transparent, and participatory governance. These building blocks can be described as shared digital platforms in areas like Digital Identity, Digital Payments, and Data Exchange. Very good examples will be India’s Aadhaar Number (India’s unique identity system) which is at the base of India’s digital revolution, or the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) or Mojaloop (an open source inclusive instant payment interface.
