The integration demonstrated how a financial service provider connected to Mojaloop could extend its payment service with offline payment capability. No real money was transferred as part of the Mojaloop showcase.

In 2023, Crunchfish completed an integration of its offline payment solution with Mojaloop and developed a showcase application demonstrating payments through a Mojaloop-based ecosystem when connectivity is unavailable. The integration explored how Crunchfish’s offline layer can augment an interoperable instant payment system without replacing the underlying payment rail or ledger. The work was performed in collaboration with the Mojaloop Foundation and was demonstrated publicly in October 2023.
