Innocent Kawooya has been elected as a co-chair of the international open-source foundation Mojaloop Community Council for the year 2023. Kawooya, the co-founder and chief executive officer of HiPipo, becomes the first Ugandan to sit on Mojaloop’s governing council for three consecutive years. Members of the Mojaloop Community Council are recognizable leaders in the fields of digital innovation, financial inclusion, and fintech from all over the world.
